What is MSG & the dangers?

What is MSG?

What is MSG? MSG stands for Monosodium Glutamate. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavor enhancer often added to restaurant foods, canned vegetables, soups, deli meats and other foods. Beside its flavor enhancing effects, MSG has been associated with various forms of toxicity. MSG has been linked with obesity, metabolic disorders, neurotoxic effects and detrimental effects on the reproductive organs. MSG consumption is also associated with weight gain as it interferes with the functioning of brain and the satiety hormone leptin which makes you realize that you are full and should stop eating.
